Gay naturists have been part of the South Florida scene for a long time. This club grew out of a previous organization that had been in existence since the early 1980’s.

In 1992 some of the members decided to start a new group which would be a little more participatory. Our purpose would be to be. "A democratic social club run by the volunteer efforts of its members".

We designed a constitution, by-laws, and guidelines for members, and elected a board of directors, with offices open to any current member in good standing.

In addition to parties at members' homes we started to sponsor special events at other locations that allow us to go nude. One popular event has been our Key West Weekend. We also have "nude sail day" on Biscayne Bay, and regular "beach days" at Miami's spectacular Haulover Beach.

About the same time, members who attended national gatherings began to bring back stories of the fun and fellowship involved in a naked week in Maryland or in the Poconos. Board members who attended found productive contacts with similar groups across the North American continent. Our association with GNI and IMEN had begun.

We encourage membership in GNI or IMEN, and are pleased to welcome members of either to GCBS functions. We have been proud that members of GCBS have served on the GNI Board of Directors at various times since 1994.

In the past few years, we have seen an explosion of gay male naturist groups throughout the state, including our friends at Bear Naked South Florida, This email address is being protected from spambots. The competition sharpens us, and our cooperation offers the opportunities for many more gay nudist activities. We welcome them all.
